Position Reports to Accounting Manager
Assist Accounting Manager in the following areas as directed:
- Perform routine general ledger accounting
- Prepare monthly account analysis and reconciliations (including reconciliation of rebilled expenses)
- Prepare US and Canadian payroll
- Supervise, perform and be responsible for accounts receivable collection efforts (1 indirect report; interface with CFO)
- Prepare daily and monthly cash and bank reconciliations
- Provide training codes to foreign bookkeepers on a monthly basis
- Provide support to external auditors
- Assist with corporate financial reporting
- Preparation of state sales and use tax returns and other required state filings
- Preparation of schedules and analysis for use in preparation of income tax returns
- Assist in preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Special projects as identified
Education/Experience Requirements:
- BS, Accounting degree
- Mix of public and private industry accounting experience preferred
- Minimum 4-6 years experience, CPA a strong plus
- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and their application.
- Experienced in general accounting activities including preparation journal entries, accounting reconciliations and analysis.
- Excellent computer skills. Experienced in the use of Excel and Word and accounting software. Experienced in the use of Solomon accounting software a plus.
- Ability to work independently as needed
- Self-motivated with proven experience to assume increasing levels of responsibility
- Outstanding analytical skills and strong attention to details
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in an organized manner.
